The last stable release is more updated than the last beta release; download the stable release.

What's the difference between beta and stable releases?

The stable releases are releases of the plugin that derive from bugfixing of beta releases that have been tested extensively; they usually are much more stable and bugfree than the beta releases. Take these if you want a stable plugin and don't really mind about the last plugin improvements.

The beta releases are releases of the plugin that are released without much testing; the focus is on new features, and they may contain unfixed bugs. Take these if you want to have the very latest version of IrfanPaint and you don't mind eventual problems (mostly plugin/IrfanView crashes or odd behavior). Anyhow keep in mind that I rarely release a beta if there are big unsolved problems.
