IrfanPaint β0.4.12.66 released
The new IrfanPaint beta release just fixes a bug in the save settings procedure, that stored a wrong value for the vertical position of the toolbar. The bug was serious since very often this resulted in making the toolbar go off-screen. Thanks to Leif Larsson for the quick bugreport.
Download
Tip: if you are updating IrfanPaint on an existing installation, you should use the dll only packet (unless you have an IV version that is too old; read more about it here).
Remember to update also the language file, otherwise you may encounter some untransated/wrong strings in the interface of the plugin.
Dll only packet
The "dll only" packets contain only Paint.dll, the IrfanPaint dll. You can download this if you already have the right version of IrfanView (4.10 IP nightly 1) or a more updated one; put the dll in the Plugins folder.
Click here to start the download.
Full packet
The full packets contain a minimal installation of IrfanView with the IrfanPaint plugin. The full packet is needed if you have an IrfanView version before the 4.10 IP nightly 1; note that this IV version is a development version of IrfanView, released only to test the IrfanPaint features, so it may contain some bugs.
If you have a more updated version of IrfanView (you can get the last official one from the IrfanView official site), keep it and download the dll only packet; use the full packet only if you experience problems with this version of IrfanPaint and your IV installation.
Click here to start the download.

When I click \"start the paint dialog\", nothing appears on the screen. I read where there was a problem with it actually locating itself outside of the visible area. i have version 4.23 installed and if I read your instructions correctly, I only need to install the .dll files correct? How do I get it to update the program? When I unzipped the files, they did not automatically update to irfinview? Instead a dialog window asking which program was used to open the .dll\'s. I clicked irfinview and all I got was a funny little picture of the cat with a pen next to its\' head in an open window of irfinview. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. It's a common problem; the toolbar probably is going offscreen because it saved its last position in an aread that now is offscreen (did you change the resolution of the screen or moved you IV installation to another PC?). Anyway, the fix is quite simple, just locate the i_view32.ini file (that is in the application directory or in %appdata%\IrfanView), find the [Paint] section and remove the TBXPos and TBYPos lines. 2. Find the IV installation directory and extract the Paint.dll file in the plugins subdirectory. Anyhow at the moment the version included in IV is already the most updated.
